I want to thank the folks at New England Hearth and Home, especially Justin Goodwin (technician) for the wonderful service and repair completed on my gas fireplace. My initial call to NE Hearth & Home was to schedule a visit to the store because I thought I needed to replace my aged gas fireplace unit with a new one......my fireplace insert is over 15 years old. However, Larry suggested that I have my fireplace serviced and evaluated before thinking about spending a large sum of money on a new system. Justin arrived promptly as scheduled. He was very meticulous, neat, clean, and very careful working around my furniture and other living room items, he even found two dead bats (oh my). Justin assessed the problem I was having with my fireplace and determined that I needed replacement parts, not a new fireplace insert . The parts were ordered, replaced and now works as if it were new. I also mentioned that I was experiencing severe drafts down the chimney into the house, Justin addressed this too by insulating the unit, which was not done during its initial installation. I am no longer experiencing a drafty livingroom; before I was feeling as if I’m sitting outside on my deck in the middle of the winter. The entire experience from start, repair and finish were flawless, and very cost effective.
